The North County Bar Association Presents:
Domestic Violence Restraining Orders:
The Treacherous Collision of Criminal and Family Law
The far-reaching ramifications of Domestic Violence Restraining Orders and Criminal Protective Orders can impact both restrained and protected parties for years, sometimes the rest of their lives. For both criminal and family law attorneys, “dabbling” is ill-advised; the possible liability for mishandling litigation or providing incorrect counsel before, during, or after adjudication is incalculable. Coordination of the criminal and family law litigation is the only way to avoid mistakes that could lead to tragic but avoidable consequences.
Our panel consists of esteemed judicial officers and attorneys, who look forward to presenting on subject-matter in which they have vast experience and expertise.
