The Unruh Civil Rights Act, enacted in 1959 and named for its author Jesse M. Unruh, regulates equal accommodations for all types of business establishments.  One of the broadest California anti-discrimination statutes, the law bars discrimination based on sex, race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, disability, medical condition, genetic information, marital status, sexual orientation, citizenship, primary language, immigration status, or other arbitrary bases.  Join an interactive presentation and a discussion on how the Act impacts your law office and the best practices for compliance.
